hardening-includes software package provides Makefile for enabling compiler flags for security hardening, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hardening-includes
hardening-includes is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hardening-includes package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hardening-includes *
You will get with hardening-includes package name, version, architecture and description in a table
